2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
In glass a red coper beer with a unstable head, the aroma has some unpleasant notes coming maybe from the yeast, and revealing se earthy or leather notes, some citric aromas are felt but I think is quite far away from the aromas you should perceive form a dubbel style beer.
In palate it has a medium body, with a really bad balance between malt and hops.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
30 cc bottle from Lubiere (merci!), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BB 24/12/09.
App.: Clear light copper with a decent but frail off-white froth.
Aroma: Band-aids!, medicinal, iodine, small amounts of brown sugar and burnt sugar, vague malts, light citrus notes, not pleasant!
Palate: Medium-ish body, very big, full, round effervescence.
Flav.: A little more malt than the nose but still very problematic; kinda sweet, borderline cloying with a touch of bitterness and a not unpleasant malt finish.
A failed attempt. Keep trying though.
