A good sweet caramel malt aroma. The flavor is malty and a bit sweet as well. Finish is pretty smooth, not too raosty. This is surprisingly good and also surprisingly my favorite of the 5-pack. Yes. I know. a 5-pack.

Very sweet on the finish. As with other beers from this brewery, carbonation is far too high.

Beer Thoughts: Craft beer in latin america is about 10 years behind the US but it is growing and gaining interest very quickly. Selection is till basic but some great beer it popping up in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Chile. San Tomas Marzen is a nice decent craft beer, malty and refreshing. Food Pairing: German sausage with strong mustard.

An amber lager with a thick off white head. In aroma, light caramel malt with light solvent, nail polish. In mouth, a sweetish caramel malt, a bit drer, with light solvent notes, hoppier than the Tipo San Tomas. Not bad. Tasted Nov. 21 2009, with MartinT.

My Bottom Line:
Caramel sweetness is accompanied by light toastiness, while mineral quirkiness bothers this otherwise drinkable pseudo-Märzen.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the misty amber.
-Herbal hop bitterness is perceivable in the finish, but it does not succeed in achieving balance.
-This was as sweet as their Tipo San Tomas, and as simplistic.
-This feels like they were aiming for a colour more than a nuanced and authentic German-style lager.

Bottle; merci Luc!
