COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This malty lager is deep golden in color and medium in body. The finish holds a bold sweetness that is balanced by a subtele hop flavor and aroma.

Sweet nutty aroma, beautiful deep red cara munich color, slight chocolate nutty with a pleasant balance of bittering. Moderate body with a well rounded finish.

Sample on draft this beer poured a dark caramel color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish table sugar and light golden fruits. The flavor was table sugar, golden raisins, pear, apple, bread and a light boozy presence that worked well. The finish was long and tangy with lingering table sugar and golden raisins. Fairly full bodied. Solid.

Not a bad maibock, but not one of the best I’ve tasted. The color is a dark golden hue, but the beer doesn’t carry much of a head. The nose is mostly of a caramel and bready malt. The body is smooth and very drinkable. I got some bready and malty flavors, along with some slight hoppiness in the finish.

Amber color with a small, off white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, caramel, toast, and alcohol. Taste was sweet, honey and caramel, with toasted dough, some citrus, and strong alcohol.

Bronze yellow color with an aroma of caramel, spice and hops. Sweet flavor with caramel mostly and some citrus and hops. Very good beer.

Gold, nice carbonation, white head but fast to dissipate. medium bodied- slightly syrupy but not overbearing. Sweetness is clean and nectar-like up front followed by a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. At first it tastes like an excellent Maibock, but after a whole pint it does seem a bit fatiguing.

on tap in gettysburg 6/17/10. bright bronze with a slight haze and a white ring for a head. nutty aroma with lesser notes of malt, orange, floral yeast and some nail polish-y alcohol. the flavor is the same without the booze note. there is also an added woody component mid palate. luckily the sweetness is not overdone. 5/4/6/3/13/3.1

I really don’t like Maibock, so it is fair to discount my review. This one was surprisingly well made. Malty nose, a bit more clear than I expected for a Maibock. Nutty taste (hazelnuts maybe, which I dislike), malt, and a good bitter hoppy finish.

On tap @ Camp Hill. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Malty aroma, some wet grains. Very sweet, super malty, no hops here! Not my style...

The pour was a light amber with a 1 finger head, on tap at the brewery. The beer was extremely fresh and had mostly a nutty, malty aroma, the sweetness really intensified as the beer warmed. Very little hop character to this beer.
