3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2015 Dark brown, sweet chocolate smell. Resembles a milk stout. Nice heavy creamy body. Significant hop finish to balance, maybe even a little too much.Best part of the experience is the creamy chocholate mid palate. Thought this was a solid attempt.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a beer that tastes more like coffee than chocolate. Itís good, but Iím not a coffee drinker, so itís not something I loved so much as I respectfully appreciated.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Had this on tap at the Collegeville brewery. Outstanding chocolate and coffee flavors come through clear but not overpowering. Very smooth to drink and the chocolate and espresso flavors come out even better as the stout warms up. Best tasting around 45 degrees rather than ice cold

Bottle - from sampler pack. Very dark - opaque. Lots of floating particles. Very roasty aroma. Very good. Some flavor of chocolate but mostly a roasty stout that is somewhat sweet.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft sample at ABCís Gettysburg-Gateway location, deep dark brown color with tan head. Aroma notes of heavy dark chocolate, roasted malt, smoke and faint vanilla. Taste adds some light coffee and earthy hop bitterness. Medium-light body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy with sweet roasty finish. Pretty solid milk stout, could be a tad richer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
on tap at Dog & Bull in Croydon PA - had an odd flavor. Thought it would be creamy but was actually a bit on the sour side. Not terrible but definitely odd.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft in Collegeville. This stout poured a deep black color with a light brown head. The head left some nice, sticky lacing around the glass. The nose was cocoa, vanilla and lights. The body was very smooth and very drinkable. The flavors were balanced and delicious, with notes of chocolate, cream, vanilla, some light hops and a hint of roasted malt. The finish was incredibly rich. Really nice stout!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a flat black body under a one finger frothy brown head that faded to a thin film. The nose is huge on the chocolate. Plenty of dark roasted malt and a light burnt note. The flavor is just as intense on the chocolate as well, sweet like milk chocolate. Thereís a nice roastiness under all the sweet chocolate as well. The chocolate lingers well on the finish. Moderate fizzy carbonation. Pretty basic and straight forward. Straight up dessert beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed 3/07/13.
On tap pour at Red Robin, Hershey, PA
The appearance has a dark brown/black body yields an off-white/tan one finger head, lotsa light sediment floating around, light tan lacing slides down.
The smell has deep dark chocolate, light coffee and malts come out once the beer warms a bit.
The taste is mainly sweet through the chocolate, coffee becomes practically non-present in the taste.
The palate is about a medium, comes across sweet and creamy, and has a sweet sticky aftertaste, dry finish, not as sessionable.
Overall, this was perhaps closer to a milk/sweet stout because of the sweet complexities that come out in it, however, this was still a good beer that impressed me as I found as I got to the bottom of this one that was real chunks of chocolate floating around. Iíd probably get this one again as a dessert.
