COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On draft at the Gettysburg brewery, Summer 2007.
The first in a series of two new specialty beers coming this year! This Kölsch-styled ale is clean, crisp, and delicately balanced. It has very subtle pear flavors and aromas. The subdued maltiness leads to a pleasantly refreshing finish. A fantastic summer brew! The Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), is one of the best-known architectural monuments in Germany and has been Cologne's most famous landmark since its completion in the late 19th century. True Kölsch can only be brewed if the brewery has a view of this famous cathedral, thus its’ appearance on our tap markers.

On tap at the brewery. Very mild pilsner malt aroma with a bit of mild fruity hop character. Golden amber clear with thin head. Medium body with medium-light carbonation. Starts sweet with some corn and DMS. A bit watery. Not very crisp. Decent flavor but not really reminiscent of a kölsch.

Gold pour with off white head and lace. Aroma of light sour malt, paper, and perfumy hops. Sweet caramel malt start, perfumy hops, medium bitter, and a dry finish. Medium bodied and fizzy.

This is not a very Kolsch-like beer at all, let alone a very drinkable one. It poured a hazy and cloudy golden color with virtually no head and no lacing. The aroma was almost non-existant. The flavor was overly fruity with no hoppiness to speak of. The finish tasted like strawberry Pez. This was truely an undrinkable and nasty beer.

hazy yellow, borderline cloudy. Aroma is sweet grain. Flavor is grass, hay, slight wheatiness even. Light bodied but flavorful. An excellent kolsch.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a glowing gold with a medium sized white head. Citrus, crisp grain. Medium bodied, and grainy. Sweet, fruity, with some empty grain flavors and crackers. Soft sweet apple finish.

Draft at the brewery. Like their lager, this was nice for its type. Crystal clear gold, small head, surprisingly good lacing, more like a cask than a keg in mouth and appearance. Not much happening in the nose. Taste has grassy notes, a little pale malt, a little hoppy bitterness, in good balance. Long bitter finish.

Location: Tap at the Brewpub, Harrisburg location, 6/13/10

Aroma: It has grains, honey, and corn on the dull nose
Appearance: Has a clear orange-gold look to it
Flavor: The taste is light sweet, not much else, similar flavors to the nose
Palate: It has a fairly light body
Overall Impression: This was pretty boring stuff, overall. Oh well...

A delicious and refreshing kolsch. Suffers from what the style usually suffers from, though. Aroma was pretty weak. Some light cologne and hints of light malt. Pour was a nice light gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was average. There was a hint of lemon, wheat and yeast but it was all very faint. The strong carbonation prohibited most of the flavors from taking over. Great summer beer, though

Had on tap at the Gettysburg location. Pours a nice clear gold color with frothy white head. Aroma is light and grassy with slight citric notes. Flavor pretty plain and watery, medium mouthfeel, slight grassiness and lemon notes. Overall, not great, but still decently refeshing.
