This India Pale Ale is an exciting beer with a floral in aroma and an incredible hop flavor. The maltiness is increased (over a regular pale ale) to help balance the aggressive hop usage. This contributes to the higher alcohol content as well.

Pours from the growler an orange tea hue with a wispy head that fully diminishes. Floral nose. Nice bitters throughout, with tannins and biscuit flour and pale malt accents. Lingering crisp biscuit flour and back-palate bitters to finish. Medium body that drinks smoothly with semi-active carbonation. Decent, yet middle-of-the-road in the complexity department. Nice 4th of July offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Floral-fruity pink grapefruit and biscuity caramel malt aroma. Hazy honey gold with a moderate off-white head. Biscuity caramel malt and weedy herbal hops flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation.

Solid, straightforward IPA. A nice blend of citrus and floral in the hop aroma and flavor, with a slightly sweet malt component. I bit a soapy taste comes through, but that is a byproduct of IPAs sometimes.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma has ligt citrus and tea. Flavor has mild citrus and earthy notes...fairly bitter. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is resinous/earthy/piney and dry. A bit boring.

My favorite of the beers in the ABC sampler. More east coast than west, but still a decent IPA. Good amber/orange color, pleasant pine hop aroma, and a nice sweet-then-bitter finish.

Draft at the gettysburg location. Clear golden amber pour, with a white head. Citrusy, lightly fruity, sweetness, caramel malt, and light bitterness. Decent beer, but the body is too thin. Still one of their better offerings.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2014 Draft at the Gettysburg brewpub. Served in a pint glass. Golden amber color with thin white head. Aroma of some malt and surprisingly little floral and piney hops. Taste is also light hops and some sweetness. Very lightly bitter. Seems to lean more on malt then hops for an IPA, I dunno.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, King of Prussia, PA. A slightly hazy amber with a thin translucent head; rich floral hop aroma with a touch of citrus; the flavour is quite restrained at first, but then the hops kick in assertively giving an extremely dry finish with some warming alcohol. A pleasant IPA, not as extreme as some West Coast examples, but very drinkable.
