Appalachian Brewing Company is proud to release our Imperial Pilsner. This deep golden lager was brewed in our Gettysburg location. The use of German hops and Canadian 2-Row barley create a nice drinkable beer. This beer will rule the summer!

Draft and growler for 9 bucks at ABC Collegeville. Pours translucent medium gold with 1-finger well-retained off-white head and a fizzy body. Nose is funky, pale malty, with some cheddar cheesy Simcoey notes. Tastes rich, perhaps even a bit cloying, with a heavy fruity anf hoppy flavor, sweet malt bill, and smooth finish. Starts sweet and fruity and stays that way, with more fruity and hoppy notes as it warms. Gets more complex as it warms.

Advertised as an Imperial Pilsner, but the taste is not like that at all. I get a lot of sweet sugary tones as soon as it hits the mouth and the after taste is bitter. A very unique beer that I’m not sure if I like or dislike.
