4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft notes from ABC Collegeville 2Q 2011. Poured hazy dark coppery toward amber with 1-finger khaki head. Nose was very piney hops, with grapefruit, pineapple, and black peppery notes. Tasted complex, pretty big and bold on the palate, with a nice flavor of caramel malt, tangerine, and grapefruity peppery finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy gold, thin white head that eventually fades. A big resinous pine forest flavor (although not quite as much as Stone’s ruination). Finish is a sappy, lingering, moderately-harsh bitterness. Any unique malt characteristics were covered. Tied with the cascade in second place for me.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Appalachian. Pours a bit dark than IPAone, more brown than orange, thin beiged yellow head. Big sticky pine on the nose. Smooth carbonation, medium bodied, earthy bitterness starts early. Juicy and full of pungent long grapefruit. Most pungent of the three, big and earthy.
