hellbilly (906), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Jun 28, 2008 on tap @ gettysburg... rich amber ’scottish’ color topped by a thin off white head. nice aroma of red apple, spice, rich caramel/toffee, nutty and a touch of wood/peat. the flavor is pretty much the same... surprisingly good. it reminds me of kiltlifter kicked up a notch. medium to full bodied and slick for being so ’light’. this is really quaffable and pairs great with just about any food or foodstuff...
f351c4v (226), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2008 Pours a ruby red color with a small tan head. Great sweet aroma, roasted malts, caramel, like a good dessert. Medium bodied, sweet and tasty, caramel with a malt hit, with a touch of bitterness on the end. One of ABC’s finest. smjohnst (161), , Pennsylvania, USA Sep 18, 2008 Had a very hoppy scent to it but didnt really have the hop flavor. A nice sweetness to it that I did not expect. Very happy with this. jrob_21 (887), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 14, 2008 Once again, this one brought back from Nashville. Pours a clear brown color. Flavor is sweet malt. Caramel and some chocolate aromas. Light body and a little thin in the flavor. Missing some of the typical scottish ale characteristics. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 11, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark red with a small whitish/tan head. Smooth malty aroma and flavor. Good beer. bigrond (865), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2008 I liked this beer.
