COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Oktoberfest style Marzen is a favorite at the famous Bavarian fall beer festivals. The distinct toasted malt flavor of this amber lager finishes quite crisp due to the extensive lagering of this beer. One sip and you’ll swear you’re in Munich.

12 ounce bottle from State Line. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malts and very faint hops. The taste is toasted malts, earthy notes and a mild hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

This is honestly my favorite Oktoberfest beer. I’m not a marzen fan, but this was is good. Great toasty malt feel on the tongue, with a satisfying finish.

Dark copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt, and caramel. Flavor has lots of toasted malt, with nuts and a touch of caramel sweetness. Decent lacing. Good beer!

On tap at Appalachian. Pours a clear ruby brown with a thin to medium sized beiged tan head. Nutty and toast, big grainy toast on the nose. Soft coffee, chocolate, cocoa, toast and malt with a bit of caramel. Gentle bitterness, long toast, crisp grain and bitter toast. Smooth overall.

6 oz sampler on tap at their Camp Hill brew pub. Poured a hazy brown with a tan head that settles and left light lace. Aromas of honey, caramel and some fruits. The flavor had roasted malts, chocolate, honey and a hint of spice. A regular "chicory explosion here! Medium body and a roast malt aftertaste. Rather smooth and light which belies it’s appearence.

Pours brown from tap with a head that vanishes as soon as it hits the glass. Nice maltiness on the nose. Taste is a bit bland. Not a lot of flavor on the tongue. Carbonation is medium. Clean finisher. Starts strong but ends in a whimper.

Full amber with white head. Aroma is neutral lager. Medium bodied, lighter carbonation. Flavor is fairly sweet and pleasant for an octoberfest, clean and appetizing. Yum.

Poured a reddish color that had very little head. Sweet caramel taste, not much balance, no lacing on the glass. On style for a marzen, little hop taste to it. The beer was smooth, drinkable. Nothing great about this beer, but not all bad. Not one to go out of your way for, but drinkable. Thanks D!
