COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Quadrupel is a dark creation with garnet hues. It is somewhat dry with low bitterness due to the high level of attenuation. Itís strength exceeds that of itís Dubbel and Tripel cohorts.

Draft at the brewpub in Gettysburg. Pours medium/dark brown with a smooth, frothy, off white head. Tastes like bitter coffee and very sweet malt, syrup, caramel, and chocolate, with hints of raisin. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet dark fruits and toffee.

Tap at Gettysburg brewpub. Pours cloudy brown with ruby highlights and fizzy beige head. Aroma is roasted and chocolate malts, coffee, fig, prunes, spice, light ash, and earthy notes. Flavor is chewy bready malts, spice, light roast coffee, dark fruit sweetness, and faint bittersweet chocolate; semisweet finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Tap. Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights, a medium, creamy off-white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is dark fruity esters, dark candi sugar, chocolate and caramel malt with light spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with heavy dark fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

DocLock (8054) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 24, 2012
Draft 23-Apr-2012 in Collegeville. Poured ruby blackish with minimal head. Nose was funky yeasty malt, vinous fruit, some brown sugary and spicy notes. Tasted candi sugary and fruity, with yeasty, vinous, and dark fruits coupled with a nice complexity. One of the better beers from these guys.

egajdzis (5409) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2012
Brown red color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, spices, caramel, light vanilla, and alcohol. Taste of spices, some dried fruits, sweeter malts, with dry, lightly alcoholic finish.

DiarmaidBHK (3578) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2011
Pours a garnet color from tap with a thin head. Beautiful aroma of diesel. Taste is a bit thin for my taste. A few spice notes but they have a habit of running away and hiding.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
PapaSkeetSkeet (861) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - FEB 25, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2011 Pours chestnut brown (garnet when held up to the light), much brighter and somewhat less carbonated than the Montebello Dubbel it was presented with. Aroma is a refreshing wiff of rain water and slight raisin/prune. Flavor is boozy, raisin, restrained phenolic. Tasty - the best Belgian Iíve had here, but honestly, I still believe they are all in the phenolic category.
