Nejhleader (772), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 7, 2007 fairly tart, has a strong cherry presence. I didn’t really like this, but i don’t like cherries. not something i’d get again.
kramer17801 (1843), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 10, 2007 On tap, 5oz serving, Camp Hill location. Pours a cloudy and murky orangish amber with a small covering of foam. The nose is caramel and cherry with a big medicinal nose. One whiff and I was instantly transported to my dentist’s office. It smelled remarkably like room 5. Yikes, murky murky flavor. More cherry pit than cherry with some slightly sweet caramel and toffee malt. Lots of doughy yeast really dulls things further. Mouthfeel is heavy and full with a s little bit of cloying stickiness on the finish. Soft minimal carbonation. Not good. $5 for this? Really? acrdz (4129), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2007 Draft at the Harrisburg brewery. Small light head on a muddy reddish-brown body, more brown than red. Nose is actually more strawberry than cherry, with an old, overripe fruit and stem and wood note. Flavors are very mild, subdued, palate is a bit watery and flavorless. On the back theres some wheat bread, plum and more strawberry, with only a small cherry presence. Weird, not very tart, but not sweet (or even dry) either. A big of a mess, and nowhere near the quality of the framboise but at least better than the peche.
