COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Dortmunder-Export style of beer was developed in Westfalen, Germany, and is a classic light lager with great character. This style boasts a light golden blonde color and exhibits a moderate hop palate. The finish of our Mountain Lager is rich yet mellow.

On tap at BP in Gettysburg. Pours with a clear light golden color with a paper thin head. No lacing noticed in the pint glass. Aroma was extremely grainy and sugary sweet with some fresh cut grass and hay overtones. Mouthfeel was a tad too slick and oily (undercarbonated?) for a lager. Not enough fizz here. Taste of slightly sour grain, light malts, fresh baked white bread, lemon and grass. Overall quite a sweet flavor profile. Finish is a bit tame and quick with a barely perceptible hop presence and a slight crispness. My brother-in-law was with us and he’s a committed Bud drinker and this is what he was ordering. There ya go!

bottle obtained in a trade with fyrecrakker05. Pours a light golden color with no real head and just a little bit of lacing. Aroma is light and slightly sweet and sticky. Flavor is sweet and light with slight wheat and fruit hints coming through. Very, very mild hop presence towards the end. A little sticky on the palate. I’m very neutral about this beer, just kind of ehh, but not in a bad way!

Pours with a golden body topped by a thin head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet slightly bitter with a touch of sourness and a grassy hop note. Light bodied, crisp and smooth.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a very thin and quickly fading white head. Lightly malty aroma with a touch of DMS and a little bit of a vegetal aroma. Flavor is pretty thin with a very light crystal malt base and minimal to no hop presence. Mouthfeel is thin and light with moderate carbonation. Finish is not as crisp as I would like. I guess this is their answer to Yuengling Lager that they must do because of being in PA, but it doesn’t even measure up to that.

Bottle courtesy of kramer17801. Pours gold with no head and very little carbonation. Smells sugary with some orange and grape elements poking through. Tastes a bit tarte and salty with some citrus and underlying sourness. Finishes light and peppery.

Bottle Pours a clear spakling pale orange. Slight wispy white ring of a head and traces of it’s best attempt at lacing. Light grain/ceral aroma. Some sweetness, like apricots or orages. Dry, bland and slightly sour flavors. Low hops and dry unfilted aftertaste. Forgettable. When I look at this label all I can think of is the SNL skit.

On tap at brewpub in gettysburg, had a clear light golden color. A good light lager that had a sweet yeasty finish.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2006 Bottle: It pours just like a macro beer. Light pale golden with a fizzy head that remains for a little while and there is carbonation bubbling towards the top throughout. The aroma is rather light with some bannanas, yeast, dough, and alcohol. The taste is light, but not all that weak, although very basic. Its like a good helles and half water in one glass. Its not a great beer, but i f I lived in PA, I am sure there would plenty of long nights on this stuff, because its so easy to drink, and quite enjoyable with absolutly nothing to dislike about it.

I will echo what others have said... this beer lacks taste and is boring. Going through the sampler at the brewpub, ABC is now 0/2. This beer would appeal to the group that avoids microbreweries because they don’t serve Miller Lite. It tastes mass produced.
