COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Dortmunder-Export style of beer was developed in Westfalen, Germany, and is a classic light lager with great character. This style boasts a light golden blonde color and exhibits a moderate hop palate. The finish of our Mountain Lager is rich yet mellow.

Pours a pale yellow with a fizzy head that leaves almost no lacing. The nose is of a macro corn plasticity. Flavors are similar, of sweet adjunct corn and timid grains to finish. It "feels" like a macro lager... too "corn" sweet, fizzy carbonation, light seltzer mouthfeel and a plastic effervescence. I so wanted to like it more, but honestly, I just can’t.

Poured from a bottle. Pale gold, virtually no head. Aroma is earthy with some malt and yeast. Taste is on the sweet side, but rather bland. Light to medium body with low carbonation. Goes down smoothly, but not a beer I’d try again.

A typical lager with a slightly different taste. I can't put my finger on what the slight taste is but it isn't terrible ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sigh, I’m not sure why I expect much from a flagship lager.. this one tasted like macro swill. Pale yellow straw color, corn nose... bleh.

Golden yellow with quickly disapating head. Aroma is faint malt with slight hops. Flavor is crisp with nice hops for a lager.

Bottle from ABC variety pack. Poured into pint glass, clear pale gold color with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, straw and faint floral hops. Taste is malt sweetness, very little hop notes. Light body, light carbonation, crisp. Slightly better then the average macro, but only slightly.

Aroma: Sweet grainy aroma from the malt, some noble hops in there providing a floral aroma. Apperance: Excellent clarity, good golden color and head retention. Taste: Nice, slightly sweet malt profile. Medium hop bitterness, but think it could use a little more hops to support the malt. Palate: Mouthfeel was very good and it was filled with a great malt profile. I just wish the hops were a little more balanced with the malt. Overall: Great overall drinking beer, very close to the dortmunder-export style but would like some more noble hops added so the it is better balanced.

Draft. Clear medium gold color pour, with a white head. Biscuit, lightly bitter hops, and sweetness. Decent, easily drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Clear pale gold pour. Aroma is really not so hot, lots of corn like aromas, yeasty fermentation smells. Tastes just like a regular pale lager, lots of sweet adjunct and not much else. Unfortunate.
