Aroma of toasted barley and smoke. Pours a dark brown. Taste is dark and initially sweet. Ends with a slightly sour smokiness.

Tap. Pours black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate and coffee malt, leather yeast with prunes and licorice. Flavor is malt dominant with medium hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

Rather smooth and light for a stout.
Pours black with a creamy tan head.
The aroma/Flavor is of coffee with mild toast and chocolate, and a bit sweet.
No residue, not "puffy".

Draft @ ABC, Harrisburg, PA. Rating #7700. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocoalte and coffee aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Impressive black color with an aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Mostly roasted malt flavor with some coffee and hints of chocolate. Really good beer.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. A nice funky chocolate aroma, with nice roasted coffee notes, nice and pungeant. In mouth, a smooth herbaceous coffee, bitter chocolate, very nice and well balanced. On tap at brewery restaurant, April 10th, 2011.

Tap at Brewpub in Gettysburg. Aroma of faint malt. Color is pure blackness with a half inch brown head. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the tongue. Very nice although it feels a bit thin on the tongue.

On tap at the Gettysburg brewpub. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla bean. Flavor of roasted/charred malt with a sweet malty and chocolatey finish. Good stuff with a nice smooth palate. Very enjoyable.

Pours very dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is quite flavorful and includes roasted barley, slight amounts of coffee, and chocolate. Taste is heavy on chocolate and coffee flavor with a bitter malty finish.
