COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This representation of the classic Irish Dry Stout has a smooth roast flavor due to the use of specially roasted barley. The barley kernels are kilned at very high temperatures until they are dark brown to black in color.

Tap. Pours black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate and coffee malt, leather yeast with prunes and licorice. Flavor is malt dominant with medium hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

6 oz sampler on tap at their Camp Hill brew pub. Rather smooth and light for a stout. Pours black with a creamy tan head. The aroma/Flavor is of coffee with mild toast and chocolate, and a bit sweet. No residue, not "puffy".

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. A nice funky chocolate aroma, with nice roasted coffee notes, nice and pungeant. In mouth, a smooth herbaceous coffee, bitter chocolate, very nice and well balanced. On tap at brewery restaurant, April 10th, 2011.

Tap at Brewpub in Gettysburg. Aroma of faint malt. Color is pure blackness with a half inch brown head. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the tongue. Very nice although it feels a bit thin on the tongue.

On tap at the Gettysburg brewpub. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla bean. Flavor of roasted/charred malt with a sweet malty and chocolatey finish. Good stuff with a nice smooth palate. Very enjoyable. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

Pours very dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is quite flavorful and includes roasted barley, slight amounts of coffee, and chocolate. Taste is heavy on chocolate and coffee flavor with a bitter malty finish.
