Trail Blaze is an all-American, all-organic beer micro-brewed using the finest organic ingredients. Our deep copper colored American Brown Ale has smooth roasted caramel flavors balanced by an evident hop bitterness and aroma. Trail Blaze is environmentally sound, all ingredients are grown to the highest organic standards, it’s healthy and it just plain tastes better!

Draft at the Collegeville brewpub. Pours clear brown with a small tan head that has average retention. The aroma is a bit nutty, slight roast. The taste has a light coffee and milk chocolate. Light and easy to drink.

Good deep brown pour that has a mocha head that leaves lacing. The aroma has some faint chocolate & roasted notes. The taste has some good unusual depth for a brown - well balanced between chocolate & hops. The body is a touch thin but this beer is drinkable & sessionable. Pretty good!

Tap at Appalachian, Collegeville, 29/11/13. Dark mahogony brown. Nose is caramel, brown sugars, dark malt notes, pinch of cocoa powder. Taste comprises cake mix, brown sugar, dark toffee fudge. Medium body, fine carbonation, dry finale with a sweet note or two. So - so, drinkable and representative of a dull style in my opinion - others are of course are available !

Love that it is organic, like that there are some hoppy notes (not usually present in a standard brown ale) and appreciate that it is very drinkable. I’d order this again.

Wife ordered this draft at Gettysburg brewpub, I grabbed a few sips. Served in a pint glass, reddish-brown color with off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt; hints of nuttiness, chocolate and earthy/peppery hops. Taste brings out some more nuttiness and roastiness. Light body, medium carbonation, dry, clean finish. An alright brown ale, straight forward and not much to it.

Draft at gettysburg location. Reddish brown pour, with an off white head. Caramel, roasted malt, toast, and a hint of nuts. Ok brown ale, on the roasty side.

Reddish brown with a nutty malty nose. Dry, palate with a hint of cocoa and more nuts. Decent but forgettable.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep brown pour, slightly hazy. Aroma is really roasty, tons of nuts, caramel, hint of clove. Taste is equally nutty, nice bitter roast finish. Palate is light-med bodied with medium carbonation. Best beer I’ve had of theirs.
