COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden Belgian tripel is light in body but strong on flavor. The light malts used to build the flavor are balanced by a strong hop profile. The addition of Belgian candi sugar lightens the body and adds both a higher alcohol level as well as a dense rocky white head. This will be brewed at Gettysburg and distributed in limited quantities to Harrisburg and Camp Hill..

Draught at Harrisburg location. Hazy, rich gold with healthy white head. Smells of moderate banana and spiciness. Flavor is predominantly phenolic, with banana and slight lemon underneath. Bitterness blends with higher alcohols and phenolics to make one distinct flavor. Yummy, but I would agree with the assessment that it is on the harsh end. I’d like to see more fruitiness from the yeast in here and less of that phenolic flavor. It reminds me of modeling glue.

Draught at the Camp Hill location. Pours orange-gold with small tight white head. The aroma is yeasty with some lemon, pepper, banana, and cookie notes. The flavor is bready with some raw grain notes, a slightly harsh spiciness, plenty of yeast, and a very dry finish. Pretty good, but it lacks the subtlety of a truly well made tripel.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a tiny white head. Again, very sweet aroma, yeasty, reminiscent of La Fin du Monde. Average tripel body (fyi not a fan of the style, give me a dubbel any day), a light Belgian with an alcoholic kick. Meh.

i thought this was really good. nice thick syrupy body. BIt of a sweet candi aroma, has kinda a honey sweet taste a little bit of candi and maybe an element of spice to it. Very nice brew.

No carbonation or head, but a subtle smokey flavor that worked okay with smoked meat. It would make a good marinade or addition to barbecue sauce.

Gettysburg. Clear with a little bit of chill haze. No head. Mildly effervescent. Sticky and sweet fruit and white grapes up front, honey dew melon makes a brief appearance. Mildly biting and bitter, but underfermented and undercarbonated, which with the heavy body does not come off well, just too heavy and rich. Disappointing.
