3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
May 2014 on draft. Red brown pour with an ok head and lacing, nothing notable. Aroma of bananas and some cloves, faint roast. Flavors followed with caramel more prominent. Mouthfeel moderate for the style. Not that outstanding, not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at ABC Gettysburg-Gateway brewpub, served in a pint glass. Clear brown color with off-white head. Aroma of wheat malt, faint caramel, some banana and clove. Taste adds notes of fruity yeast and light chocolate. Light body, moderate carbonation, slightly syrupy with light sweet finish. Overall a nice weizenbock IMHO.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2014 A strong banana aroma and taste which I did not like. A smooth texture and medium body but the banana taste was too overwhelming.

A big EH! A lot of people say you can taste banana. Not the best smell. Overall a decent (at best) beer.

Bomber from a trade with jdb288. Dark brown and opaque (after the bottle being rolled.) A beige head is decent. I smell rich sweet malts and berries. The feel is somewhat syrupy. Rich malts are tasted and dominate. Some chocolate that is syrupy. Earth and fruit. There is some bread and a hint of spice. Th syrupy chocolate dominates with fruit in the background and few this and thats. Not great.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Camp Hill location. Ruby red/orange color with a finger width white head. Nice lacing down the mug. Aroma is primarily caramel with some cereal. Medium body, more the caramel in the taste with some light hops. Sweet finish. Don't notice the 7+ ABV. One of my favorite beers at ABC.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Gettysburg brewpub. Pours clear amber/copper with fizzy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and cookie malts, orange peel and other citrus notes, floral hops, and faint spice. Flavor is chewy bready malts, sweet fruit esters, and light alcohol notes; semisweet finish that gradually dries out. Medium body and carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Beautiful preserved amber color with brownish flair and a frost covering. The nose is a sweet concoction of mild clove phenols and wheat. Full, wheaty body, rather sweet, but the moderate cloviness helps moderate this. A thoroughly solid weizenbock.
