Another great bottle thanks to machfive55, thanks. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is full of malts, wheat and some light fruit. The flavor is full of wheat, some apricot, bread and light citrus. Not bad, and very drinkable. Nice.

Really good simple brew. Smells like wet wood and sour berries. Taste is a clean wheatiness with a very slight sour note. Could do many of these on a summer night. Very smooth and satisfying for the style. Thanks Appalachian. 2008 12oz.

Dark, cloudy straw pour, big fluffy head, lots of lace, yum. Big sour aroma. Very low carb, some candy sweetness, followed by an earthy metallic aftertaste. Some floral and fruity strawberries, but is all artificial and thrown off by after.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2010 Location: Updating this rating with a draft sampling from the Brewpub, Harrisburg location, 6/13/10

Aroma: Nose of yeast, spice, citrus
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange color
Flavor: Taste was wheat/yeast, lemon, spice
Palate: It has a light-medium body
Overall Impression: This was a little better then I had previously rated it so I’ll give it a slight bump upward...2.7 to 2.8

Sept 2008 Beer of the Month Club

Aroma: Citrusy and sweet
Appearance: Clear, yellowish thin head, cloudy
Overall Impression: This is a nice solid wheat beer, nothing overly special, but nice for it’s style...

Pours slightly turbid gold, with aroma of wheat, yeast, hops, and malt. Finishes with some citrus, wheat, and yeast. Somewhat watery and not real complex.

draft- a very nicely done wheat- just what you expect- drinkable, a little bit of flavor, and refreshing. Well done.

Pours an opaque orange color and almost no head? Surprising for a wheat where I’m used to a big, frothy, aromatic, head. Faint orange peel aroma. Light bodied, lacking in spice but has a little bit of fruit in the flavor with an unusually hoppy back bone in there as well. Not a great representative of this style but not a bad beer as a whole.

Rated side-by-side with the ABC Hinterland Hefe. Pours a hazy golden color with little head. Light citrus aroma, stale grain? Thin body gives way to bland malt, touch of orange, chalky finish. Avoid.

This was good wheat beer. I have ones I like more, but in general this was pretty good. It had a nice taste and was definitely drinkable.
