This light refreshing wheat beer is sure to delight. Our special yeast and blend of malted and unmalted wheat provide the haze in our unfiltered style ale. This beer is traditionally served with a lemon slice on the side.

12oz bottle from ABC variety pack. Poured into pint glass, hazy-orangy golden color with white head. Aroma of wheat and lemon peel. Taste adds some fruity yeast, faint spices and mild bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, crisp, clean. Pretty refreshing, could use a little more flavor.

Bottle: Hazy, gold, with a small white head. Wheat malt, lemon/orange aroma. Taste is slightly tart....citrus, a little banana, wheat malt. A little watery and light, but a very decent amount of flavour.

This is a solid hefeweizen. It didn’t blow me away, but it was enjoyable and I’d try it again, perhaps with the right food pairing. It’s light in color and body and solid in taste.

DATE TASTED: November 19, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Weihenstephan weizen... OCCASION: vibrant golden orange body that is mostly opaque; white, creamy head that thins to a halo... AROMA:damp, wet yeasts that muddle slight banana and clove--the telltale aromas are flat and without vibrancy, but a malitiness sits as a shadow... . PALATE: light to medium-bodied, with a matted, lightened, textured mouthfeel; still reasonably easy drinking... TASTE: the maltiness blankets the flavor profile; the wheat produces a clove and banana that is subdued; overall, a clean, uneventful taste... OVERALL: a beer on my get list for years, it does not really elicit a memorable reaction; a somewhat refreshing beer that, due to its maltiness, is not as light or as flavorful as hoped for...

Poured from the tap at the Appalachian Brewing Company into a pint glass in Gettysburg, PA. The beer pours a brilliant gold color with minimal haziness. The aroma is OK, it is mostly corn and grain with some yeast. The flavor is the biggest disappointment to me, the flavor was not very strong and had very little grain infusion. Overall, i rate this beer as average.

On tap at the source. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a vibrant white head. Aroma of well water and faint mown grass. Taste is smooth and refreshing with sweet pale malt, mild citrus, yeast and a bit of grassiness. Very good!

Very strong wheat flavor. Dry like cereal without milk. Clean but not a great wheat beer for me.

Pale yellow body, minimal white head, minimal lacing. Sweet perfume, grainy cereals, grass. Light bodied, moderate to gentle carbonation, sweet, cloying.

On tap at the Harrisburg brew pub. Pours a watery gold with a zero head. Nose is totally bland, watery perfume, mild grass. Flavor is totally watered down, lemon, malt, a little perfume. Watery finish.

Very mild grain aroma, pours light amber with a thin white head. I would expect a lot more haze for an unfiltered wheat beer. There’s some wheat flavor there, and a slightly bitter finish and a medium body. This wouldn’t be a terrible lawnmower beer, there’s just not much going on.
