Chris_Thomson (183), Luzern, Switzerland Sep 30, 2007 Luzern-07. Very interesting beer. This one has a huge herbal/grass aroma that really overpowers the beer. Has a cloudly yellow-orange colour with small white head. Has a nice bit of bitterness with lots more herbal, spicy notes in the palate. Not a beer I’d drink regularly, but an interesting experience!
Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a huge amount of floaties and a white head. Very spicy aroma with some resin. Medium-bodied with a little sweetish malt, very spicy with resin and ginger - but it’s probably just the hemp. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. Quite interesting and lovely really - I usually dig these hemp beers. 180808 joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 20, 2008 Bottle.
Hazy yellow coloured with floaties a<nd a small white head.
Spicy and herby aroma of hemp (and marihuana).
Spicy and herby flavour of hemp and malts with notes of marihuana.
Herby finish. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 19, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours unclear yellow and with yeast sediments and a lacing white head. Spiced ginger and herbal aroma. Medium sweet and slight herbal flavour with a light bitterness. Lingering herbal finish with a light persisting sweetness. faroeviking (4418), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark May 25, 2008 Botella. Pours a cloudy yellow colour. Strong biiter aroma of herbs. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour is nasty, just stuffed with bitter herbs. Dry uncomfortable herby finish. I have tried other tame hemp beers before but this one was just way too much and plain awful! Allen (644), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Apr 19, 2008 Bottled 50cl. It pours a hazy yellow beer with a beautiful creamy white head. The nose is dominated by hemp. Some gooseberries appearing. The taste is mainly of hemp. A subtle bready component sneaking in. Wonderful lacing. Sweet and hoppy accompanied by a hint of lime. Some gooseberries. Decent mouthfeel. A hint of marzipan and wild strawberries in the finish. A very good beer.
