Commercial Description:

Enjoyed in a Suppen bar in Basel; second floor style. Yeast, golden pour. Nose hints of caramel and some floral aspects, and a few tossed herbs. Some marzipan, and a yeast like flavour pilfers about. An enjoyable Vienna, and I didn’t even know that was what I was drinking. The after taste carried a few surprises with banana nut bread and berries. yum.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with floating impurities and a rough off-white head. Aroma of caramel with a somewhat herbal touch. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel, slightly oxidized with a vanilla and woody touch. The finish is dry without much bitterness. 180808

(33cl swing top bottle) Hazy, light-amber colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and yeasty cara-malty nose with subtle fruity notes and a touch of marzipan. Sweet flavour, almost medium bodied. Cara-malty, slightly nutty taste; sweetish and light acidic malty finish (17.10.07).
