a witbier with 30% apple juice - awfull yellow-white colour, cloudy; initially coming with some big bubbles which quickly disappear; perfumy nose, aroma of coriander and apple; sweet and slightly acidic with a short apple and sweetish finish - forget this horror

This brown 250ml bottle was 3 months out of date when reviewed: in Feb 2009. Poured into a ’Forbidden Fruit’ chalice. Cloudy and dirty lemon/grapefruit in colour with a very impressive white head, it looked great to be honest. The aroma was obviously apples mostly, some cerels in the smell too, plus something very sweet. This isn’t an apple beer that smells like a cider, far too sweet. The sweet apple aroma carries on into the tatse, a bit too sweet for me, but I can see females and those with a sweeter tooth than me enjoying this beer. 30% Apple juice according to the label, I think it is just added to the breweries regular wheat beer. I have certainly had worse fruit beers from Belgium and I wasn’t expecting much from this. I was pleasantly suprised.

0.25 L bottle from Centra Colosseum, Oslo. A low and dense snowy white head, upon a cloudy straw yellow body. Quite fresh smell of baked apples with an acidic touch. Taste is acidic apples. Not a genuine apple flavor, but has a certain freshness. Light in body, spritzy mouthfeel. One-dimensional and lack some depth, but goes well down.

Smells sweet and like ripe apples and has a very light color to it. Tastes sweet with an abrupt finish.

0,25 l bottle from ICA Middlethon, Stavanger. Cloudy, bright golden with a white velvet creamy head, an inch thick. Spicy yeast and fresh apple jam on the nose. Tastes like a wit mixed with apple juice and that’s also what it is. Not unpleasant, but frankly not very interesting either. Light to medium body. Light toughy. Smooth to drink.

Golden with a white head. Really apple aroma with notes of dust. sweetish palate.

bottle@Kulminator: cloudy yellow with a big white head, smell is simply disgusting, extremely sweet with lots of artificial sweetener, smells absolutely chemical with some kind of apple syrup, corn syrup, taste is very sweet and fake with lots of artificial sweetener, apple juice, wheat, this is just plain bad

Color looks like a whitebeer. Smells like beer, just lightly sweet but still beer. Taste is totally different though, very very sweet. Low carbs, you can just pour it down your throat.

Smells like Karmeliet gone bad, not a lot of apple in the smell. Smells a bit sour also. Taste is the exactly opposite, very sweet, weird mouthfeel. Not so much apples, more like a 25 ct multifruit juicy. Don’t like this, glad to share this bottle with Benzai.
