Cask conditioned at Adderbury Beer Fest ’07. Copper colour with short head. Pleasantly dark and malty beer with good fragrant hoppy flavour cutting through to make this an interesting and very drinkable beer.

Dark brown colour with no head.
Weak aroma of caramel.
Flavour is mild sugar, caramel and tiny hints of fruits.
Flat. Not a roller coaster for senses. And I’m being generous.

Hazy amber with a medium white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with malty notes and mild hops. Flavour was sweet and malty with grassy hops. Finished quite bitter.

Bottled. An amber beer with some sediment floating around under a thin off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit as well as notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, straw, and a bit of fruit, leading to a dry metallic finish.

Bottle, 4.2%. Weak fruity aroma. Cloudy grey orange colour. Small white head. The flavour is also slightly fruity. Quite a subtle beer, not watery, but not awfully flavourful either.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Hazy amber with a rapidly fading cream head; caramel malt aroma with some light fruit and yeast; dusty malt flavours with more caramel and a gently bitter finish. Rather unexciting.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008. Clear light to medium yellow amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, moderate buttery. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (010508)
