Made from a blend of Pink Lady and Royal Gala apples, and using the finest techniques of Champagne & fine wine production, the result is a cider of freshness and balance like no other. Appleman Primo is like the perfect first bite of a ripe red apple picked straight from the tree. After an explosion of fresh apple on the palate, the fruit sweetness is balanced by crisp acidity, followed by a beautiful lingering finish. Not too sweet, not too dry.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle bought at TASTE in Festival Work, Kowloon Tong.
Very pale yellow colour with light green hue; Near zero head and residual white foam which fades in 10 seconds; No lacing with active carbonation; Musty and tart aroma of apple juice, wood, tannic and sparkling white wine; Mid to light sweet taste of apple juice, with good tartness, sparkling white wine, musty cellar and light tannic; Close to light body. Dry, crisp and tart palate; Mouth feel is light sweet, tart apple wine with just right dryness. Mustyness, wood are moderate, tannic is rather light; Quite dry after taste. Crisp and tart to mouth.
Comments: This pretty mysterious brew (not much is given away from its official website) is quite decent: Okay carbo, sweetness and tartness are light to moderate, right on and balancing. Like a lighter version of Demi-Sec. it could be better if the wood and tannic taste got more bites. Very drinkable and quite nice.
