Bottle shared by Thecheeseman at the Vero Beach Throwdown. Clean yellow pour with no head or lace. Aroma of spicy fresh apples with a flavor that mirrors the aroma. Very warm but not hot. Smooth as silk. thanks Dan

Bottle from Matt7215, my summer secret santa. Thanks. This stuff is big and complex but so overwhelmingly boozy its hard to appreciate. Aroma is hot, spicy, boozy, lots of apple, honey of course. Surprisingly sweet in the mouth for something of this strength, pie crust, vodka, nutmeg, spices, still lots of apple. Funny how appley this tastes considering its a mead. Pretty solid all around but god is it hot.

Bottle, thanks for picking it up for me Jerc and mabel! Nice medium yellow, no head. Pure honey aroma. Taste - good. Pure honey, most natural tasting honey mead I have ever had. Almost earthy, especially in finish. Stunning taste = very drinkable, not too hot. Wonderful soft tingly mouthfeel. A perfect after dinner sipper is small doses.

750 ml bottle from HogTownHarry! Thanks! Nose is sweet honeycomb right out of the hive, with some woodiness and golden delicious apples; translucent pale yellow with no head or bubbles; favor is like a light colored wood such as ash, with honey, appley notes and some light alchol warmth. Excellent mead!

Honey Apple Wood aroma. Pale yellow with no head. Very sweet honey with a nice apple taste. You’re aware of the alchohol but the sweetness keeps it from being overpowering.

[1387-20080524] Bottle. Apple wood aroma has a sweet sticky honey note and has a strange lingering sweaty boy waft at the end. Hazy, light yellow white body with no head. Heavy apple and wood booze flavour with a bit of butter, mostly honey notes. Medium-full body. Interesting hazy colour, super boozy.

Bottle- 750 ml from the winery- Straw liquid pours and on the swirl, leaves nice syrupy legging. The nose is honey and heavy woody and floral components, with just a slight hint of vanilla. Sweet honey and alcoholic fruitiness, combines with wood and wet grass, straw. Quite booze laden and also syrupy, but in the proper dosage, this is quite a treat. It’ll take a me a while to finish this bottle.

Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. 2000 vintage. Very pale yellow-gold colour, looking a bit dish-watery - that’s not very promising. But then I check the aroma - big, warm honeycomb with a slight oakiness - oh yeah, that’s nice! Medium bodied, quite smooth. As Harry notes below, it tastes like honey with a nice floral character, with a hint of the oak from the aroma coming through in the flavour as well. Seems really one-dimensional when I write it down, but it was actually quite vibrant and mouth-warming.
