I drank this beer at Cusco, in my hotel. We could say that it is a particular beer, a kind of tea, coca, malty, sugar, not that bad, but it is not the kind of beer that I could drink all the night.

330ml bottle from Inti Market, a small shop in Lima. Really weird looking bottle and beer. Pours in a hazy copper robe. Almost none existant neck. Floral taste to it, and that I-don’t-know-what-but-I-guess-that’s-the-coca flavor to it. It’s foul... really I would not recommend to anyone.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2015 This is very bad. Fun, but undrinkable. Sour as battery acid, gunky, looking like some liquid from a laboratoty jar that must have contained a foetus or a snake. Tastes nothing like coca. Undrinkable, but fun. I never had a chance to try "the other" coc a beer called "La Chola". I didn’t have a chance to find Sabe at the MacDonald’s either (as per suggestion of the guy below).

bottle 330 ml. 5º. Vary cloudy beer, small head that doesn´t hold too much, no lace. Very strong acre smell, I guess is from the coca leaves, but it reminds me of papaya. Some citrus too and a hint of something sweet in the end. Flavor is bitter but with some sweetness too. In the mouth it’s very unpleasant too at first, but once you get uses to it you’ll ike it. Same thing as the smell, must be the coca leaves but it reminds of papaya. Very strange beer but I’ll say it’s a good one, though it’s hard to drink.

This beer is "fun" at the most. You’ll find yourself in S. America and then you’ll find this beer. You’re probably in S. America to try new things and this is something new to try. It tastes pretty filthy but its fun to think of the various chemicals entering your body. That aside, try it. But after that if you need an energy boost take a shot of expresso before you drink your next beer or if you happen to be in Miraflores (Lima, Peru) find a guy name Sabe in the park by the McDonalds and he’ll get you coke lol

25/09/2011 31cl. bottle @ our hotel room (2011-456)

Fizzy aery white head, soda like, unstable and non adhesive, dissipates immediately. Little cloudy yellow to light amber coloured beer, some residue floating around. Aroma: very spicy, cloves, green tea, star anise, bit fruity, interesting but at the same time quite nasty, dusty. Dried orange peel. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour lemony start, almost geuze like. then spices, probably the coca leafs, but I’ll be damned if I can tell for sure. I’d describe it as tobacco, bitter oranges, lemon peel, cloves, curcuma, (bitter dry). All of this still with the very sour notes present. Aftertaste: can you guess? Yes, sour lemony. I’d like to know the Ph number of this beer. For sure the most interesting beer in Peru. It takes some balls for putting this in the market and that’s why I give it an overall of 13!

Slightly hazed gold with a fizzy white cap that survives as a rim hugger. Has the aroma of sour lemon, faint vinegar, strange uncooked veggies, grains, rotting leaves and I’m convinced that if I look hard enough there is a hint of something chocolately.. would I have thought that if this wasn’t made with coca? probably not. Bleeeeeeeeee aaaaaaa!!! sour! I doubt this was the intention but who knows? Lemon juice, cooked veggies, grain. Pretty foul. Won’t be drinking the rest that’s for sure.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a fast disappearing head. Refreshing lemony and spicy nose, but also some wet cardboard notes. Sharp acidic flavours, borderline case. Well-carbonated. Probably a beer gone over the top, but at least not boring.

A dry and sweet flavour. Something indistinct, coca?. No sorry. I could not drink this one. Even though I was at high altitude in Cusco.
