Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy. The flavor is slightly acidic with notes of spices and citrus, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks Myrup for sharing.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2009
Bottle 31 cl. Courtesy of Myrup. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a small off-white head. Weird, tart herbal aroma. Light body, a little low in carbonation, tart citrus and herbal notes. Tart finish without being infected. A very strange experience. 130809

Hazy golden with a tiny white short lasting head. Flavour had loads of what I presume coca leaves, and herbal notes. Finished spicy.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 thebeertourist (4058) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2010
Bottle. Cloudy orange with a fast disappearing head. Refreshing lemony and spicy nose, but also some wet cardboard notes. Sharp acidic flavours, borderline case. Well-carbonated. Probably a beer gone over the top, but at least not boring.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 10, 2009
Disturbing since the name. Couldn’t take it home with me. The smell reminds me a little the aroma of the marihuana (not that I have tasted that crap) and the taste is a little sour a kind of onion, like someone said. Cloudy texture and weird aftertaste.

The Google translation of the Commercial Description:
The coca plant sacred to the Incas made marvel is a true natural pharmacy, provide protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, calories, calcium, phosphorus and iron from other components essential to a balanced diet, and perfect health.
To my great misfortune, I found a bottle of this crap in Cusco. Tastes nothing like maté de coca, coca leaves or chicha. Unless the chicha was made rather badly, and was left under a parked carfor a couple of months. Tastes like green apples, cabbage, aluminum and yesterdays sour dishwater with just a dash of butter: pretty much a one-bottle dictionary of all known serious beer flaws.
I thought I had tried some broken beers before, but that was before I had a chance to try Apu Cerveza de Coca. This is some seriously nasty shit.

(bottle) My nephew brought me a bottle from Peru. Clear yellow with small white head. Faint herbal aroma. Flavor was overwhelmed by grassy/herbal flavor. Obviously a novelty beer - not one you’d buy regularly.
