1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Marko (3112) - Split, - MAY 4, 2010
Hahah yeah, I can only echo armando’s comment. Guess the 3% tasteless pale lager market is stronger in Hungary than we think it is. I mean, if the entire supply of Lindenhof I’ve seen in Budapest could disappear in a week, I guess there’s enough desperate people who would pay 150ish forints for a 3% lager trying to get drunk. The Golden Eagle. 3% Truly a worthy tribute to the mighty bird. Not. Poured a dull yellow-golden body with no head. Eggy nose, light, sweet and sourish cabbagey taste. Somewhat bready. Nice soft mouthfeel. Actually not bad for the "style". But that wouldn’t really be a compliment if I said "great for the style" so yeah, not a good beer.

Can, courtesy of fonefan. A golden beer with an off-white head. Fruity nose with some unpleasant wet cardboard notes. The flavor has very high levels of wet cardboard, leaving the hops and pale malts in the back. Medium body. Wet cardboard finish with fruityness. Shite! How can one put this much wet cardboard in a beer? Yes, I know they don’t put cardboard in the beer, but still it’s quite unbelievable. 110128
