Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Dark brown with a small pale brown head. Big malty and chocolatey nose with touches of fudge, crackers and cocoa powder with an oily hops note. Full bodied with with plenty of toasted malts, dark chocolate, prunes crackers and cocoa powder. Long finish dark bitter chocolate, cookies and prunes.

Bottled. Very powerful aroma. Loads of chocolate malts and hints of licorice. Dark brown color, light brown head, good lace. Strong chocolate malts in the flavor as well with hints of licorice. Nice bitter finish, quite full. Thanks Fukito!

Bottled, thanks Fukito! Clear mahogany, rich firm head. Aroma of toffee and coffee. Sweet and near full bodied with rounded rather soft mouthfeel. Plenty of butterscotch. Cottony, warming and thoroughly pleasant, but not very complex.

(Bottled) Dark brown with a small head. Slightly sour, very malty aroma with licorice. Sourish-salty, roasted-malty flavor with medium bitterness. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate. Slightly thinner than a doppelbock, but that was to be expected. Quite nice.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 6 Feb 2008) Dark brown colour with ruby hints, huge pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate and dark berries. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, dark berries, more chocolate and a sweetish finish with a delicate cocoa bitterness. Medium body with smooth mouthfeel. Yummy! Nice, chewy and chocolatey brew.
