First sample: Clear copper color, before sediment is poured, then turns more cloudy. Fluffy lasting tan head. Malty, sweet, smooth, strawberry cream, cake, scent. I want to eat it with a spoon for dessert! Big, sweet, malty, fruity, alcohol, grainy taste, nice!!! Smooth mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Even better with sediment poured in.

Went back and bought 4 whole bottles that I finished one by one, amazing beer! One of the best beers I’ve ever had! Pushing rating after a while to: 9/4/10/5/19=4.7

These bottled had been stored for about one year, seems to have been good for it!

From a bottle (50 cl) at SMÖF-08. Cloudy amber with creamy off-white head. Deep malty aroma with caramel, toffee, almonds, and som red berries. Full bodied and extremely smooth. Well balanced with a dry finish. A truly special beer.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy dark amber, small head. Caramelly nose. Warming with husky caramelly malt flavour. Hugely malty with balanced sweetness and cottony soft mouthfeel. Full bodied. Not very complex - it’s all caramelly malt flavours, but very good.

Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy reddish brown colour with a small white foam. Malty sweet aroma of hazelnuts, caramel and fudge. Full and malty sweet flavour of caramel, fudge, brown sugar, almonds and hazelnuts. Sweet but never cloyingly so finish spunned sugar, caramel, fudge and alcohol. Tasty but still quite simplistic. Lovely malt character.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 6 feb 2008) Amber colour with huge, frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, dried fruit and blood oranges. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, citrus, caramel and a spicy finish with hints of american hops. Medium body, slightly sweet with a balanced fire burning throughout. Very nice beer.

Bottle (RBESG 2008): Chestnut-amber coloured, cloudy; deep sweet-grainy nose, a bit nutty too, combined with traces of hops; deep sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet-grainy finish, balanced by a hoppy bitterness. Satisfying stuff............
