2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 26, 2005
An orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by metallic alcohol notes. The flavor is sweet with the alcohol burning the mouth, while the mouthfeel is somewhat sticky. Too much for me.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2005
(Can 50 cl) Fully golden with a very small head. Extremely full-bodied, you almost have to chew your way through this. Sticky sweetness and an overwhelming bitterness. You really can feel the alcohol, but as a beer considered this for sure ain’t no pleasure. 270202
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 yespr (22161) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2008
50 cL can. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild cornish and somewhat metallic. Very smooth mouthfeel. Distinct alcohol and syrupy flavoured. Metallic and cornish finish.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 oh6gdx (16000) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 4, 2005
Canned. Golden colour, mediumsized white bubbly head, which disappears quickly. Malt and alcohol in aroma (a bit "cheap whiskyish"). Strong alcoholic flavour with fruity hints.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2002
Red-amber coloured. Thick like syrup. No head whatsoever. Extremely sweet and fruity. The sweetness manages to kill off both the alcohol flavours as well as any other flavour. Probably a good thing if you have tasted the rest of the Arboga line...
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 joergen (14985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2005
Canned.
Amber coloured with a small off white head.
Aroma of medicine with notes of anise.
Sweet flavour of medicine and anise with a warming alcoholic finish.
The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden for a malt liquor.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2008
Can, 10.2%. Clear shiny dark golden colour. Quite peppery flavour, very malty. Quite syrupy and sweet, but nice. Spicy hoppiness underneath the sugary surface.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 KimJohansen (10340) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2008
Clear golden with a large white head. Boozy aroma with hints of malt. Sweet flavour but it cannot hide the enormous alcol pressence. Just boozy rellay.
1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 TBone (9405) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 12, 2004
Can (BB 12/2004)
Amber color, small white head. Bready, sweet, even a bit like Belgium strong ale nose. In flavor alcohol attacks rapidly and ruins the palate. Sweet and fruity, too much alcohol.
