BeerSkull (675) - SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2011
Sweet malt aroma, toffee and brown sugar, with a light smoky nuance. Light sweet flavor of roasted malt, crisp carbonation, thin finish with a vague burnt and bitter tone. Nothing special but still good for a Swedish Christmas beer!

Gr0ve (1875) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2009
500 ml bottle. Dark brown with reddish hues. Medium-sized light beige head that falls down quickly. Crisp Northern Brewer hop aroma with berry-like aromas. Slightly piney aroma. High carbonation level balances the roasted and dry flavours. There is also a little sweetness from malts, but those come though behind the dry, and somewhat metallic, hops. Fairly clean flavour midway, but the finish is more watery. A decent beer, but I wouldn’t recognize it as a Christmas in a blind tasting.

06.02.2009, 0,5l Bottle. 5.6%abv. The colour is black. Thick off-white head. There is something in this that smells like a camp fire. Aroma is roasted and malty. Not as sweet as expected, but more hoppy. I think this one is very nice.

larsga (4630) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 25, 2009
Biggish beige lasting head. Barely translucent dark red body. Mild fruity papery aroma with licorice notes. Nice, but too faint. Sweetish-dryish soft roasty chocolate and mint taste with licorice notes. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Clean, mellow palate. Dryish papery sooty licorice aftertaste with cocos notes. Nice, and extremely easy to drink. Subtle. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

OleR (3648) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 20, 2008
500 ml bottle. A dense fingerthick beige head resting on translucent, dark brown colored body. Modest, but clean aroma of dark malts. Notes of rye-bread and burnt sugar. Flavor is sour-sweet, lightly roasted malts with tones of berries, pepper and brown sugar. Mildly hopped. Lively mouthfeel. Medium body. Fairly dry, light sourish-malty finish. A decent one.
