(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma is grainy malty and light vegetal. Hints of hops and alcohol. The flavour is light sweet and light bitter with notes of hay, alcohol and metal. The mouthfeel is clean, hard and empty. Vegetal finish. Light to medium bodied.

Bittersweet and metallic malt aroma with grassy hops and liquor. Grainy malt flavor with some grassy hops. The aftertaste is slightly acidic, bitter and spirituous. The admittedly vague, but still present, hops aroma makes the beer just drinkable!

Svesse (4389) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2011
(Bottle) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of tropical fruit, bread, mandarin, honey and hints of grass. Malty taste with citrus, grass, honey and bread. Hints of grassy hops in a finish with a fairly modest bitterness. Medium body, rounded mouthfeel, with some malt sweetness. Wouldn’t really call this an oktoberfestbeer, it’s more like an average pale lager with a touch more alcohol. Not bad, but pretty average.

0.5 l bottle from Systembolaget. Deep golden color. The aromas of honeyish and bready malt as well as perfumed alcohol. Sweetish honeyish malty flavor with tart fruity and warming alcohol. Full bodied. OK Märzen.
