4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
When I saw troubadour on the tap handle I knew at that moment that I had to try this one. Very sweet triple aroma, almost ridiculously sweet... Kind of like bubble gum. The taste is a sort of muddled malt sweet base like a kind of raspberry flavor but sweet beyond what youíd think. Then thereís a lot of hops, this is the hoppiest trippel Iíve had, itís almost an American pale ale level. The hops linger for a time... Itís a really good beer, I only hope this rating improves itís decidedly dismal overall score, it honestly deserves better. The world needs more beers like this.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I had this on tap in the Ann Arbor Bar Louie. It has a great clear orange color and a nice white head that disappeared quick. I donít normally drink trippels so my review might be a bit off, but itís very good. Itís aroma is very citrusy. Itís got this very interesting taste of citrus, oranges, and that trippel taste. Itís one of those beers that you kind of have to chew through. Itís very good and Iím happy to have drunken in one of the cities it was made in!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 (backlog ZBF 2013, tap pour). Sewer nose, as in an old macro pils. Stale and overamped "specialty" grains compete for attention in a sticky and ester-fuming tripel. Almond milk and honey shake. Hops drown in this disastrous malt orgy on an oily palate. One of the few at ZBF I wasnít able to finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
tap. Golden with small head. I liked this slightly better than the Mundus Novus, but again the rye seemed out of place. Itís not quite as overwhelming in this case, but still doesnít work for me.
