Cask at CP&K (under the name of Arbor Freestyle Fridays #2 Approved). It pours opaque black, with a thin dark tan head. The nose is smoke, salted liquorice, hay, roasted malt and ash. The taste is salted liquorice, varnish, roasted malt, dark cherry, tar, salted caramel, smoke, ash and alcohol warmth. Full body and fine carbonation. Tasty and full in flavour.

Cask @ Cask Pub and Kitchen. Named "Freestyle Fridays #2 Approved Stout". This is possibly the sweetest stout I’ve ever tasted. Like melted coffee ice cream. Coffee notes and sugar dominate the palette. It has a luxurious mouthfeel, but doesn’t have the depth of flavor to make this truly elite. A little more bitterness would be appreciated. Still, this is quite worthy.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 21/11/2011. Opaque black with a touch of a tan head. Big dark chocolate and roast malts aroma. Flavour had more chocolate, some sweetish dark fruits and a toasty finish with warming alcohol. Very good.

Leighton (6989) - London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours thick black with a frothy, beige foam head. Really deep roasted malt nose with dirt, soil and seared earth. Also rich cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with hefty dark malts, strong roast character, charred malts, burnt cocoa, bitter dirt. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, more burnt cocoa, strong roastiness, perhaps some slight prunes. Very decent brew.
