The body was gold and cloudy. The aroma was lots of banana with some peaches. There was a hint of clove in the finish. The taste was lots of banana with some clove. There was some spice in the finish. I was not a fan of this one.

On tap at the Arbor Brew Pub. Poured a medium and cloudy yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of cloves, wheat, spicy, and lemons. Tastes of bananas, wheat, and lemons.

Draft @ Arbor Brewing: Murky orange color that looks like spoiled orange juice. The aroma was heavy on the spice and phenolic clove. Yeasty hefe flavors that start strong then quickly shift to bland malt. Dull soft carbonation.

Tap: abc, overall this beer surprised me. Was expecting a slightly heavier mouth feel. Great aroma of clove and banana, very clean and crisp. Nice cloudy appearence, rather thin for my taste, but a nicely done weizen

Strong fruity esters with sweet citrus character. Hazy golden body is topped by very persistent white head that rings the glass with each sip. Banana and citrus flavours meld with light spiciness and mild bitterness in the mouth. Lively carbonation shows off what can be done with a light bodied beer. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.

Jaune moyennement pale, mousse blanche mi-persistante adhérant en partie à la paroi du verre. Arômes de gomme baloune, de blé, de banane et de citron. Doucement épicées en bouche, phénol, bananes-bonbon et gingembre n’ont rien d’exceptionnel mais sont adéquatement représentatifs du style. Carbonatation moyennement active, finale un peu aqueuse.

Draft at Arbor Brewing. Cloudy golden hue with medium head that diminished slowly.Good aroma of citrus and spice. Light body with smooth texture. Complex Hefe flavor with a good citrus with a sour finish. Above average for style.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2007 July 30 2005: Glass at the brewpub in the company of those sexy Montrealers Rastacouere, Olivier_MTL and tiggmtl. Opaque yellow-gold with little head though lasting....pretty banana-creme-caramel nose, sweet and lovely like a HS sophomore but just as ephemeral...light estery body, pleasantly full and juicy...nice carbonation....good American hefe overall. 6/3/7/3 13 3.2

12 ounce bottle from Bello Vino, Ann Arbor (June 2007), bit below cellar temperature, Ramstein weizen glass. Cloudy amber-copper, rather dark for a weizen, moderate head diminishes quickly....uh oh, estery-spicy aromas almost obliterated by powerful buttery diacetyl....body is a touch buttery also, sour rather than tart and wheaty, a bit of cherry along with (finally) some sour banana mash....this bottle is definitely off; given my rare problems at the brewpub, I am going to compromise and average the ratings. This sample: 4/2/5/2 7 2.0

Hazy pale gold, lasting white ring. Kinda soapy, creamy lightly lactic nose. Well displayed estery yeast aromatics, full on banana. Far drier than expected in mouth. It is not very phenolic at all, mostly bready with peely lemon zest aspects overruning smallish malt bill. Surprisingly crisp, heavily carbonated, but very thin palate.

Faint aroma with hints of banana and clove. Cloudy yellow, lemonade appearance. No carbonation. No lace, no head. Not bad. Diet cola; 7-up aftertaste.
