Cask@Hare and billet, Blackheath, London - amber pour with medium off white head with persistent lacing. Aroma and taste is malty toasted, some caramel, toffee, some subtle hops in there and overall a great bitter. Lovely.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cloudy orange. Fruity with lots of hops and bursting with flavour. Complex and interesting. How can they brew such an interesting bitter?
Title is a funny play on words. What a brewery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask in the Horseshoe NW3. A brown coloured bitter. Nice modern take on the traditional, good malt character, some toffee, biscuits and toast, and a bitter hoppy earthy fruity finish. Very pleasant.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury. Hazy amber with thick lasting beige head. Strong citrus hop aroma. A little muddy from the bottle conditioning and massively over carbonated. Good though. Highly drinkable. Good hops. Good pale ale. Slightly yeasty on the aroma. The hops later are good. It’s just a session pale ale. Ends up a little thin in the mouth. Decent.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Cautious grainy aroma, some fruity notes of red berries, mostly explicit raspberry. Taste is slightly tart, earthy grainy, some wet straw, fruity hints of red berries; flat carbonation, slightly insipid. Nope.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned handpump Slug & Lettuce Leicester 12/09/13. A golden coloured beer with a white head and lace. A fruity beer. Quite safe and sessionable especially by Arbor’s standards. Decent flavours and nicely balanced. The hops verge towards zesty and a bit of blackberry. Quite interesting and quite nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle.
Pours a dark copper colour with a white firm head. Aroma of grass, biscuit and dried fruits. Flavour of biscuity malts, grassy hops, nuts, musty herbal notes and wood. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, nutty, grassy bitter finish. Not sweet at all, but nicely dry and bitter. Good.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Reddish copper with a slight haze and a loose cream head; fresh aroma with woody hops and yeast; sharp hoppy taste with some soft caramel malts; and a long bitter finish. A straightforward, in-your-face-hoppy bitter.
