COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gorgeous copper-orange ale. Rich, enticing aroma of oranges and lemongrass. Crisp and refreshing on the palate. A perfect blend of malt, spice and sweet & zesty hints of citrus.

Nestled between beer-loving Germany and wine-loving France, for centuries Belgium has produced some of the most interesting, complex, sophisticated, and delicious styles the beer world has to offer. The Blonde pays homage to this grand tradition. Brewed with a unique blend of rich malts, sweet orange peel, spicy hops, and zesty coriander for a delicious brew that straddles the line between beer, cider, and wine.

The result is a medium-bodied ale bursting with flavor. This is truly a beer-loverís champagne (or a champagne-loverís beer!). It is a dry, slightly tart ale subtly spiced with orange peel and coriander for a zesty taste with hints of sweet and tangy citrus.

From a bottle in Grand Haven MI. Pours a golden yellow with a slight haze. Arab is slight floral and slight citrus with some yeastiness. Flavor follows. Medium bodied. Not really what I'd calla saison. But very drinkable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent fuller orange with foamy off-white head and lively carbonation. Smells of dough and coriander with mild notes of hops and citrus. Tastes like it smells with a fairly dry mouthfeel. Alright.

On tap at Brewery. Golden, thick body. Strong yeast on end for this one. Not amazing, but solid.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2014 Tap: copper and amber body with a thin, white head that skims the top of the beer and is gone completely within a few moments. No lacing, no webbing. Aroma is herbal lemongrass, lemon zest, citrus spritz, orange zest, and some green tea leaves. A little bit of spice, too, almost like mint or clove. Taste is sweet up front with a decent balance of herbal-like hops, lemongrass, coriander, orange zest, and mild clove... Finishing touch of lemon and mild bubblegum... almost like Belgian yeast? Thin mouth feel makes it feel a little watery, not enough carbonation. Flavors are pretty good, just too light. Amped up a bit, this would be pretty damn good. Itís decent as is.

bottle. Golden with small head. I donít know if this is a blonde, but whatever. Itís light on flavor. Very light tartness and vaguely fruity. Eh.

19 aug 2013, bottle. Orange/brown and a bit hazy. Odd for what bills itself as a blonde. Nose reminds me of unpasteurized apple cider. This can't be good. Thin body and fizzy. Well, wasn't as bad as I expected. Astringent malt, faint apple peel. Still not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
