COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gorgeous copper-orange ale. Rich, enticing aroma of oranges and lemongrass. Crisp and refreshing on the palate. A perfect blend of malt, spice and sweet & zesty hints of citrus. Nestled between beer-loving Germany and wine-loving France, for centuries Belgium has produced some of the most interesting, complex, sophisticated, and delicious styles the beer world has to offer. Brasserie Blonde pays homage to this grand tradition. We brew the Blonde with a unique blend of rich malts, sweet orange peel, spicy hops, and zesty coriander. The result is a medium-bodied ale bursting with flavor. This is truly a beer-lover’s champagne (or a champagne-lover’s beer!). It is a dry, slightly tart ale subtly spiced with orange peel and coriander for a zesty taste with hints of sweet and tangy citrus.

12 oz. bottle... Hazy amber ale with orange highlights. Lots of floaties hovering above the billions of sinkers lying 1/8" thick on the bottom of my glass. Flemish nose with notes of lemon, orange and honey. Mildly sweet, wonderfully tart flavor. Medium-bodied with an arid mouthfeel and feather-soft carbonation. Lengthy, moderately pungent, dry finish.

Draft sample at Arbor Brewing. Poured a cloudy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeast and tart citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth thick texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet yeast flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Another good brew.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of mibirder. Thanks! Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is acrid nutty with some light fruity notes. Taste is sour with notes of citrus, soy, lemongrass. Medium bodied.

In short: An awful rotten sweaty beer that shouldn’t be called a Saison. Worst “Saison” ever.
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed reasonably fresh about 3 months after receiving it from dmschefke. Not your fault Dave, I asked for it!
The look: Cloudy ugly brownish-blonde body topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: Repulsive nose of sports locker room and ripe fruits. Taste blends extra ripe fruits (almost rotting), unpleasant sourness, sweat, and… who cares what else. I drank 1/3 of my 12oz bottle and drained pour the rest. Body is slim and lifeless. I’m a Saison whore, when closing the trade deal with Dave I did ask for a bottle of that thing. I saw the awful ratings but I thought to myself “C’mon Dany, you love Saisons, how bad can a Saison be?”. Well, I got my answer. That bad. I’ll take a Bud anyday over this. Awful and not even on style, this beer is to Saisons what soiled underpants is to bridge engineering.

Hazy copper brown with a fizzy head. Sweet fruity aroma with Belgian yeast notes. Good smooth fruity taste with notes of caramel and a sweet bread finish.

Reviewed from notes. Pours an apricot orange with an off white head and decent lacing. Smells brings forward a bit of hops, some citrus, and generic sweetness. Fairly mild, but not bad at all. Taste is a bit too sweet. Feel is a bit thicker than I would normally expect but it works with the flavors. Drinks fairly well and was a nice starter. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-08-2010

Bottle in Detroit. Cloudy, darkish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Fairly spicy, lemongrass, orange citrusy, slightly tangy aroma. Weird, tangy, somewhat spicy yeasty, lemongrass, orange citrusy, tangy flavor. Not enjoyable at all.

On tap at Arbor Brewing Company. Poured golden with a ruby tint, minimal head. Aroma consisted of citrus notes with some hops. Flavor was sweet throughout with underlying citrus notes. Nothing special.
