UPDATED: APR 11, 2012 Cask in Draft House Northcote. Colour is clear chestnut. Nose is caramel malt, nutty. Taste is nutty, something tangy, caramel, rye bread, bit dry. Wondering if this is on the turn because lacking hoppiness or citrous notes.

Cask conditioned at The Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell, London. Copper with white head. I had an initial burnt caramel note, some toffee, but in a good way, not overly sweet. There followed a drying leafy bitterness with a citric hop, lasting and really quite decent.
