3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pour to shaker. Hazy brown-gold with a medium head. Citrus aroma. Nicely balanced hoppiness with something giving it an edginess...pine? straw? I bought a single to sample. Next trip to the store I will buy a 6-pack.

On tap at Graydon’s Crossing. Nice fruity hop aroma, aromatic and light sweetness. Carbonic gaseousness. Peach and apricot. Pale golden clear with haze, topped with thin lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Nice IPA. Caramel, biscuit for sweetness, and hoppy notes with grapefruit and apricot. Big hoppy bitter after.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2014 Cask (Dry-Hopped with Mosaic Hops & Lemon Zest): Thick & dense looking, fully opaque sunburst yellow body with a slightly foamy & bubbly, off-white film. Aroma is bomb.edu; dank, dripping tropical juice, guava, passion fruit, tangerines, loaded with hop oils, florals, & the lightest sugar cookie sweetness as the backbone from the malt. Tropical hoppy explosion. Taste is lightly herbal up front with some small hints of grass, green onion, & severe dankness from the hops. Huge tropical mid-palate leading into the finish; mango, passion fruit, orange, like biting into a fruit. Touch of dank green onion & wet grass in the finish with a touch of biscuit malt sweetness. Wonderfully smooth mouth feel from the cask. I’ve never been crazy about regular Buzz Saw but this stuff is worthy of praise.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy light amber with a lingering off white frothy head. Nose is fairly complex with a mixed malt and hop character. Pines, citrus, resins, fruits, spicy hops, white pepper, grapefruit marmalade, pretty strong caramel malt character, some toasty malts as well and slightly sweet on the nose. Flavor is similar with a spicy hop and toasty caramel character. Maybe this bottle wasn’t overly fresh but thats the nature of the beast when picking bottles off the shelf. Seems like it would be a good beer at the source.
