3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 downender (5191) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2012
Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 28/01/2012. This began life in a homebrewing competition and congratulations to Roger Parry who came up with the winner. dark brown with reddish undetones and a decent, off-white head that left plenty of lace down the glass. Berry fruit and grassy hop aroma with some roastiness in the background. Very easy drinking for the ABV, with a lot more fruit, solid malts and a lingering, bitter finish. Great stuff.
