Bottle. One of only 210 bottled. Dark brown with a sherry like flavour and some maltiness. Small head and so easy to drink considering its strength. Another excellent beer from this brewery.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light chocolate, light alcohol, light sweet alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, alcohol sweey, candy sweet, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20121208]

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 28/01/2012. This began life in a homebrewing competition and congratulations to Roger Parry who came up with the winner. dark brown with reddish undetones and a decent, off-white head that left plenty of lace down the glass. Berry fruit and grassy hop aroma with some roastiness in the background. Very easy drinking for the ABV, with a lot more fruit, solid malts and a lingering, bitter finish. Great stuff.

Cask, handpump at The Three Tuns, Bristol, 28.01.12 Pours dark brown with a beige head. This is both hoppy and roasty with citrus showing amongst a good light coffee flavour, bit dry at the end, nice beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
