COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special. Also available bottled.
This one-off brew was made especially for the CamRGB ’down DIPS’ night of double IPAs on 26th May 2012. We decided to keep the recipe quite simple: low colour Maris Otter in the mash followed by an enormous quantity of Aussie and Kiwi hops in the copper. Watch out for this one - it’s a bit hoppy!

Bottle. Slightly cloudy. Hops hit you full on-you cannot ignore them. Some bitterness buts its the hops that grab you. One you can’t ignore.

330ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a small head. Peach, syrup, toffee and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and rather bitter taste with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, mango and peach. The finish is crisp, hoppy, fruity and bitter. Its drinkability belies its strength.

Bottle 330ml. @ chriso s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2012.

Light unclear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120804]

Bottle with Ben. Dark Golden. Hazy but clear. Aroma of Mango citrus. Flavour has a nice malty sweetness. The hoppiness is tropical with a pleasant citric edge. Nice bitterness. Good density of hop flavour. Very nice.

Bottle. Pale amber with a white head that hangs around. Slightly weak aroma, quite a bit of alcohol, oranges, mandarins. Taste has caramel, mandarins and a good whack of alcohol. Some alcohol burn and a very bitter finish. Not bad

[330ml bottle, Trembling Madness, York] Pours clearish golden with a large, voluminous white head. Nose of tangerine oil, candi sugar, yeast. Flavours of mustard, pepper, lemon, lavender, orange, nettle. It’s a strange beast – more like a barley wine, there’s not a huge amount of hop, other than hop oil. The peppery mustard on the finish is like a rye beer, then the alcohol comes through. It’s really interesting [29082012]

Bottled@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, floral and some slight tropical fruity notes as well. Flavour is fruity, floral and mild tart wooden notes along with some sweet maltyness. Hides the alcohol well.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Smells papery tropical sunrise. Hazey yellow. Undoubtedly has good hop content - thick pineapple and passionfruit juice, which becomes a little raw and underdone in the middle - which could be booziness or could be unripeness. Finishes fine. Smooth throughout, and by and large a fat UK DIPA.
