Commercial Description:
Cask; Occasional.
The inspiration for this beer comes from a Bohemian black lager that we’ve been enjoying lately. We couldn’t make a lager though as we weren’t prepared to wait that long! Instead we’ve created a very deep dark red beer and added a load of Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops for that distinctive lager like taste. Nothing much like the black lager we’ve been enjoying but just as good in its own right.

Cask conditioned at the brewery tap, the Old Tavern Bristol 24/11/07. This was another Arbor beer that was very hard to categorise. Near black with a slight tan head. The aroma was predominantly roasty with some dark chocolate. The flavour was also dominated by roasted malt with some dark fruit and a vaguely dry finish. Not bad.
