2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 fsquirrel29 (75) - Michigan, USA - MAR 9, 2013I really need to learn to read labels. I thought this was some sort of hippie style beer. After drinking most of the beer (and not enjoying it), I re-read the label and figured out that it says - Espresso in the name. I hate coffee & this is definitely coffee flavoured.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jsquire (3000) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Dark beer out of the bottle with ruby highlights when held against the light. This poured with an uncontrollable brown head and was way overcarbonated until I beat out some of the bubbles. Chalky, bitter chocolate nose. Some thin caramel sweetness, bitter coffee, over ripe fruit and dusty chocolate. Very lively on the tongue. There is an odd sourness in this. Not as rich as I had hoped.

Bottle. Charcoal and chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Ash/chalk and mild chocolate malt flavor. Light body. Seems to leave a chalky coating after swallowing.
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 TCT328 (15) - - MAR 2, 2013
A good coffee-infused stout is hard to come by, but this is the best one I have had. It has a good dark roasted flavor that warms the belly. It’s not something I could drink a lot of at once, but it is something I could relax with in the armchair.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Tmac220 (1) - Michigan, USA - JAN 20, 2013 does not count
12 oz pour. lots of carbonation initially, poured extra frothy tan head. Dark brown liquid. Toasty aroma with a hint of chocolate and coffee with taste to match. A little thin and not as flavorful as one would expect of the style. It is not Bad, but Considering how much I like other stouts, this one is just plain disappointing.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ICEatALAMO (587) - Troy, Michigan, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Draft. Pours dark with carmel head. The aroma is a mix of malt and some coffee notes. The taste is much thinner than I was expecting. Not a lot of flavor in my opinion. Very average.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 andrewmb83 (22) - Frankenmuth, Michigan, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Very nice malty and toasty aroma, with a hint of mocha. Appearance is very dark, zero light gets through while in a pint glass, with a nice tan head. The flavor is slightly sweet, with cocoa and milk, some toastyness lingers to balance the sweetness towards the finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 msante79 (2127) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2012
12oz bottle from Beer Baron. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Body is a little thin, but I don’t think this is that bad. Don’t get all of the poor ratings.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 bwa5879 (317) - Portage, Michigan, USA - JUN 28, 2012
Pitch black pour with half inch tan foam head. Sweet smell, like cola syrup. Thin mouth feel, and slightly carbonated. Predominantly Malty flavor, tastes similar to root beer but more sour. Sour dry aftertaste. The bottle I had may be too old. Look forward to re-rating when it’s on tap next year.
