Bottle - Toffee and twig. Cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Bitter twig, nutty and some toffee. Too much twig for me.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky dark brown work a thin light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a light refreshing grassy nettle hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. More like a black IPA than a brown ale.

Bottled (as FF#40 Twigs in Space). Hazy ambery brown colour with a small off-white head, that stays for quite a while and also leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel, some slight wood, mild "acidic" notes along with some nutty and mild resiny notes. Flavour is very similar in a pleasant balance, with the nuttiness coming in more strong than in the aroma.
