The second in our Hoptical Delusion series, this is a hoppy "natural" beer. We’ve bottled it straight from the FV, without filtering or allowing it to settle out first. Why? Well, this is beer in its natural form. Removing all the yeast and hop oils removes much of the flavour. Give it a go!

Hazy paleish gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and a little crisp. Fresh floral orange with lesser grapefruit. Mild tangy bitterness before the semi dry finish. Decent and very quaffable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a cloudy straw yellow colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy and floral. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, big hops, grass with some spicy dryness on the palate. Another Arbor classic.

Feb 2013 – cold bottle. Good name. No head. Unfiltered. A bit watery, not bitter, not a great deal of flavour bit there is a bit of citrus. Not enough flavour for me. Man vs Beer is a better beer of the type.

500ml bottle. Retired? The first rate is merely a month old! I digress... Pours a very hazy light gold with a medium head. Aroma is banana, melon and a little mango. Taste is bread and bitter melon to start. Strong bitter mango finish. Good body for the low strength. I <3 Arbor.

Cask-conditioned at the Colston Yard, Bristol 18/12/2012. Slightly hazy gold in appearance with a slight white head. Aroma of grapefruit, gooseberry and a touch sweetish malts. Flavour had plenty more tropical fruits, cereal malts and a touch of grass before a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden amber. Aroma and flavor is floral, citrus, and tropical fruit. Light body, a little sweetness immediately moves to a delicious dry bitterness. Overall quite impressive flavor for such a low alcohol beer.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear gold with a wimpy, white foam head. Lots of dry grapefruit in the nose, some piss and hay. Light sweet flavor with a good, hoppy edge of grapefruit, orange, light dry grass, some lime. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild resins to finish, more dry but still lightly juicy citrus, mellow pine needles, light sweetness. Superb sessioner.

Sweet candy nose with underpinnng citrus from the hop - pineapple, mango, lychee. Pours a muddy amber with a vague head. Flavour is spicy and rich with an unctious mouthfeel from the oils of the hops. Notes of pine needles and burnt orange peel with a ginger-like fieryness without actually tasting of ginger. Finishes with more of that spicy, sprucey fire. Very nice.
