Old Fountain. Clear gold beer, tidy white head. Light palate, semi dry. Nice fine carbonation. Mild minerals. Decent hops. A little orange - tangerine and mild tropical fruits. Mellow bitterness. Finishes semi dry. Nice hops. There seems to be plethora of well hopped low abv beers about these days. This is a superior one.

Cask at the Euston Tap - 16/11/12. Clear pale golden with a decent frothy white head. Great lacing ensues. Nose is fresh hops, a little cheese, sweaty socks. Tastes of hops, light pine, bitter citrus fruits, touch of mango and grapefruit, some orange. Excellent mouthfeel - medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, bitter finish. Cask beer feel at its finest! Decent stuff.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2013 Tap at Holburn Whippet. It pours golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is lemon meringue pie, subdued citrus, faint grass and light fruity notes. The taste is pithy citrus, soap, grass and only a light bitterness with a clean, dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but not up to the usual standard of arbor. Not much in too it really....

Cask-conditioned at the Volunteer, Bristol 26/11/2012. Deep gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pineapple with some fruity sweetness and hint of green herbs. Flavour had more juicy, tropical fruit, cereal malts and a lingering dry finish. Very drinkable.

(Cask at Holborn Whippet, Holborn, London, 20 Nov 2012) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel and lots of fresh citric hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon peel, slightly biscuity malt and fresh citric hops in the finish. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and very refreshing, with a certain bitterness. Nice one.

Pale golden, custard/hay taste I’ve come to recognise in arbor pale beers, not quite my thing. Gentle carbonation, medium body, lemon pith, pleasing dry bitter finish.
