11026 (1886), USA Oct 7, 2004 Tap. Hazy yellow color. White head is moderately lived, good lacing. Sour apple aroma with spice notes and wheat malt. To me, a little watery, nothing terrible however. Taste is tart and puckering. Not an overwhelming sour but noticeable. Would have another. Schroppfy (1741), Ohio, USA Oct 1, 2004 Growler killed while watching the debate. Cloudy, some unfiltered swirling goodness. A medium-bright yellow gold color. Nice aroma of lactic acid, sour wheatiness, and tiny bit of baked bread. The body is not slight (my biggest complaint of the Berliner Kindl) and it really holds up to a good warming of the glass. Could be more powerfully sour. Not up to Schultheiss standards, but delicious.
